Body contouring

Body contouring means non-invasive shaping of the body silhouette. Typical areas are abdomen, flanks, thighs, buttocks and upper arms. With the right technology you reach clients who have stubborn areas despite exercise and diet.

Body contouring

Technologies

Cryolipolysis

Controlled cold acts on fat cells, which are more sensitive to low temperatures than other tissue. The body clears the affected cells via the lymphatic system over the following weeks.

1060 nm diode laser

The laser energy heats subcutaneous fat to 42 to 47 °C. This affects the fat cells, which the body then clears through its metabolism.

RF, vacuum and cavitation

Radiofrequency warms the tissue, vacuum massages and loosens it, ultrasonic cavitation acts on subcutaneous fat. The combination targets contours, cellulite and firmer skin.

Typical course in the studio

Body contouring is almost always a series. Depending on the method, sessions are days to several weeks apart, because the body needs time to clear the cells. Results show gradually and also depend on lifestyle and protocol.

Questions from practice

Which technology suits my studio?

Cryolipolysis suits localised fat deposits. RF vacuum systems address cellulite and skin tightening. EMS devices add muscle training to the range.

How much staff time does it take?

Cryolipolysis, 1060 nm laser and electromagnetic devices run largely without constant hands-on work. Vacuum and RF systems with a handpiece need more presence.

What expectations should I set?

Body contouring shapes the silhouette but does not replace weight loss. Talk openly about realistic goals and the length of a series.
