Hair removal is one of the most requested treatments in beauty studios. Laser or DPL delivers long-lasting hair reduction that keeps many clients coming back. The right technology depends on skin type, hair colour and your client base.
Technologies
Diode laser
The light is absorbed by the melanin in the hair and heats the follicle. The 4D TECLASER combines 755, 808, 940 and 1064 nm for light to dark hair and many skin types.
Nd:YAG 1064 nm long pulse
The long wavelength penetrates deeply and is absorbed less by the skin surface. This makes it relevant for darker skin types.
DPL / IPL
Filtered broadband flash light acts on the pigment in the hair. In-motion mode lets you treat larger areas quickly.

Hair reduction is always done as a series, because only hairs in the growth phase respond to the light. Several sessions a few weeks apart are typical, depending on the body area and protocol. Before starting, clarify skin type, hair colour and sun exposure in the consultation.
Questions from practice
Which technology suits my studio?
That depends on your client base. A diode laser with several wavelengths covers many skin and hair types. A DPL device also offers applications for skin tone and pigmentation.
What qualification do I need in Germany?
For cosmetic use of laser and IPL on people, the NiSV requires a certificate of competence (Fachkundenachweis). We are happy to explain how to obtain it.
Does it work on light or grey hair?
Laser and DPL need pigment in the hair. On very light, grey or white hair the effect is clearly limited. Address this openly in the consultation.
Is this device right for your studio?
