Visible redness

Visible redness on cheeks and nose bothers many clients. Light-based methods can even out its appearance and make the complexion look calmer. LED light adds a gentle, soothing care option.

Technologies

DPL / IPL

The narrow spectrum of 530 to 750 nm is well absorbed by haemoglobin. Fine visible vessels and redness can be reduced this way.

Nd:YAG 1064 nm long pulse

The long wavelength reaches deeper structures and is absorbed by haemoglobin. It is also suited to darker skin types.

LED light care

Yellow and purple light are used in skin care to calm reddened skin. The application is comfortable and combines well with other treatments.

Typical course in the studio

For a more even complexion, several sessions a few weeks apart are usual. LED care can be scheduled more often and alongside. For pronounced or inflamed skin changes, recommend that clients see a doctor.

In Germany, treating vascular lesions with laser, IPL or radiofrequency is reserved for physicians under the NiSV. NiSV →

Questions from practice

Is this a medical treatment?

In the studio the focus is on the cosmetic appearance of visible redness. Skin diseases belong with a doctor. If in doubt, advise a medical check.

What is the best entry device?

A DPL device covers redness, pigmentation, rejuvenation and hair removal. LED light is a good add-on without NiSV requirements.

What does the NiSV require?

For cosmetic laser and IPL use in Germany, a NiSV certificate of competence (Fachkundenachweis) is required. LED care devices are not covered.
