1927 nm Fractional Thulium Laser
The 1927 nm Fractional Thulium Laser works precisely in the epidermis and upper dermis. It creates controlled micro-coagulation zones that stimulate skin renewal without removing large areas of the skin surface. The result is a fresh, even complexion, often described as the baby skin effect.

How it works
Thulium ions (Tm³⁺) generate laser light at 1927 nm. This wavelength is strongly absorbed by water in tissue, much more than erbium glass at 1540 or 1550 nm, yet gentler than a CO₂ laser at 10600 nm. Microscopic coagulation zones (MENDs) form in the epidermis and upper papillary dermis while the horny layer largely stays intact. This stimulates new collagen and renewal of the epidermis.

1927 nm is absorbed by water in tissue and hardly by melanin. With careful settings the laser therefore suits many skin types.
Mild redness and a rough skin surface usually fade within a few days, much faster than after CO₂ resurfacing.
Power, pulse duration and density can be adjusted, from a gentle refresh to intensive fractional resurfacing.
